NYC Media Lab Combine alumni teams Vidrovr and Geopipe each receive a $750,000 grant from the National Science Foundation

NYC Media Lab is proud to share that two Combine startup accelerator alumni teams have gone on to claim a $750,000 National Science Foundation (NSF) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase II grant to commercialize their innovative technologies. Congratulations to Geopipe and Vidrovr for continued success in the City's startup ecosystem:

Geopipe uses AI to produce immersive digital twins of the real world for simulation, gaming, architecture, and beyond. The grant will enable R&D to greatly improve the accuracy, detail, and realism of Geopipe's worlds, and help meet real commercial needs.

Vidrovr uses machine learning and computer vision for extracting information from live and archival video content, and automatically constructing a searchable knowledge graph from the metadata. The grant will help take Vidrovr technology to some of the largest media companies in the world.
