Following NYC Media Lab’s Annual Summit on September 26, 2019, we invite you to a private event for investors and corporate partners interested in learning about new investment opportunities in digital entertainment.

Please arrive at NYU Tandon School of Engineering at 6 MetroTech Center, Brooklyn NY 11201. Please bring your photo ID. You will check in with security and be directed to the first floor event space.

Triller is an AI-powered music video platform that aims to democratize the music video creation process, making it easy for users to instantly create and share professional quality music videos. Endlesss is a live multiplayer music creation and listening platform - the music industry’s answer to the gaming/eSports revolution. Creators make, share and remix ‘rifffs' in chat-room-like ‘jams’ using the iOS app’s built-in or external instruments. Listeners stream live jam events on the web and interact with creators through chat and emotes. Endlesss’ iOS app for creators is currently in TestFlight beta with a small user base of a few thousand. Engagement is exceptional with average daily users spending 45 minutes, top daily users spending 8 hours in the app. The Endlesss web streaming service public beta launches in Q4 2019. Gigmor is a live music marketplace designed to streamline the booking process, making talent discovery and booking easy. Gigmor serves both the artist and those searching for new talent. On the platform, indie artists can create profiles and upload original music to be browsed and later booked by talent searchers, while talent seekers can discover new artists by posting upcoming gigs and soliciting artist submissions for consideration. 10:35AM: Panel Discussion
Tuhin Roy, SVP, New Digital Business & Innovation, Universal Music Group
Tuhin leads UMG's efforts to support a robust ecosystem of early-stage digital music companies. As part of this effort, he designed and launched the UMG Accelerator Engagement Network which is building partnerships with accelerators around the world to foster a new generation of digital music companies. Current Accelerator Network partners are located in New York, Belgium, Berlin, Seoul, Taipei, Beijing, Shanghai, Paris, Toronto, Melbourne, Berkeley and Jerusalem with new partners being added regularly. Tuhin has also been closely involved with the development of a new form of innovation license that enables early stage companies to launch products legally with a minimum of process for both UMG and the entrepreneurs involved. Tuhin recently assisted Capitol Records senior management in launching Capitol360, a new innovation center based at the legendary Capitol Studios in Hollywood, California. Beyond his work with the early-stage eco-system, Tuhin is negotiating new model deals involving data-driven A&R, crowd-sourced remixes, influencer-based UGC video services and next generation subscription music services.
Daniel Leff, Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Waverley Capital
Daniel is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Waverley Capital. He is also Founder and Managing Partner of Luminari Capital (the predecessor of Waverley Capital and a top-performing media-focused venture capital fund that he founded in 2014). Prior to co-founding Waverley Capital and founding Luminari Capital, Daniel was a Partner with Globespan Capital Partners. Earlier in his career, Daniel worked for Sevin Rosen Funds and Redpoint Ventures. He also previously held engineering, marketing and strategic investment positions with Intel Corporation. Daniel has been an investor in a multitude of media companies including 1Mainstream (sold to Cisco Systems), Art19, Elemental Technologies (sold to Amazon), fuboTV, Headspace, Matterport, MikMak, MOVL (sold to Samsung), Novel Effect, PlutoTV (sold to Viacom), Roku (NASDAQ:ROKU), TheAthletic, Wondery, and others. Daniel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from The University of California, Berkeley and a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles. Daniel also earned an MBA from The UCLA Anderson Graduate School of Management, where he was an Anderson Venture Fellow and where he currently serves on the Board of Visitors.
Mauhan Zonoozy, Principal & Venture Architect Director, BCG Digital Ventures
Mauhan is an entrepreneur and investor with a focus on consumer, new-media, and travel. He is currently a Principal at BCG Digital Ventures, Boston Consulting Group’s corporate innovation and venture capital arm, and Head of the Venture Architect division. Prior to BCG DV, Mauhan founded Bubbl, a Warner Bros.-backed video software company, and acted as CEO and Head of Product until their successful acquisition by Cricket Media. Before Bubbl, he worked alongside founding teams as a Venture Capitalist at YAS Capital Partners and later as an Attorney in Orrick’s Technology Companies Group. Mauhan actively invests in early-stage startups as a Partner at Touch of Grey Angels, an NYC-based syndicate fund, and on behalf of a half-billion dollar family office.
Danielle Lay, Associate, New Enterprise Associates
Danielle is an early stage technology investor at NEA based in New York. She invests in Seed, Series A and Series B companies across consumer internet sectors; her investment experience includes investments in The Well, Burrow, Desktop Metal, Block Renovation, Formlabs, Woebot, DivvyPay, and Moda Operandi, amongst others, and represents NEA on several boards as an observer. Danielle joined NEA in 2017 from Goldman Sachs’ Financial Technology investment banking team. While at Goldman, she executed on M&A transactions for leading companies across the payments, insurance technology and alternative asset management sectors. Danielle graduated from Northwestern University with a B.A. in Economics and minors in Business Institutions and Chinese Culture & Language.Four new startup companies will share their technical expertise and value propositions: Triller, Super Hi-Fi, Endlesss, and Gigmor
