This spring, NYC Media Lab launched projects with A+E Networks, Spectrum, Associated Press and Havas. Register today for an AR Open House to explore the prototypes.
Faculty and student teams from across NYC Media Lab's university consortium are working on funded AR and immersive media prototyping this spring in collaboration with the Lab's member companies:
With Spectrum, teams are using AR to advance and improve the customer service experience.
With Havas, teams will use immersive storytelling to imagine the future of urban transportation alongside changes to the City's transit system.
With A+E Networks, multi-user functionality and geolocation are incorporated into AR experiences to engage new audiences with broadcast programming.
With Associated Press, a student-led team is visualizing space exploration and science news in AR.
To celebrate the innovations happening throughout the spring, NYC Media Lab is planning an Open House, to be hosted at RLab—home to the first city-funded VR/AR center in the country.
Prototypes and demos will be on view in an interactive, science-fair style exhibition. Guests are welcome to arrive at any point within the program window of 9:30AM-12:30PM.
