Havas NY Fellowship: Prototyping the Augmented Island

A landmark in the harbor, Governors Island is New York’s shared space for art and play. In partnership with NYC Media Lab and Havas, Governors Island will over its public space to NYC graduate students. The project will support a cohort to produce prototypes for telling the story of its landscape, landmarks, and history. Machine learning and artificial intelligence-powered chatbots, wearable technologies, virtual and augmented reality experiences should be considered as ways to enable immersive and story-driven experiences for Governors Island visitors.

NYC university graduate students will be eligible to apply to participate in this rapid prototyping fellowship which will run for 6 weeks with a kickoff in January 2018 and weekly check-ins, and conclude with a Demo Day in March 2018.

The Application Deadline is December 1, 2017.
