Verizon selecting teams for Connected Futures II

Following an application process, Verizon Open Innovation is currently selecting teams for Connected Futures II, a prototyping and talent development program presented by NYC Media Lab. Teams will receive up to $25,000 in funds, and prototyping will begin in January.

The 2016-17 prototyping areas are:

Internet of Things (IoT): Seeking scalable market use cases - how can we utilize ThingSpace as a platform for development for new IoT experiences, devices and apps? How can we enable low-cost cellular connectivity?

Augmented and Mixed Reality: How can we empower person-to-person communication and enable interactive virtual environments?

Conversational Interfaces: How can we leverage mobile contexts, IoT data and content behaviors to serve individuals in new and magical ways?

Participants will receive unique guidance from Verizon mentors, including Director of Open Innovation Christian Guirnalda and Head of VR Product Development Christian Egeler.

Selected teams will be announced on NYC Media Lab Medium account.
