Verizon Connected Futures Prototyping & Talent Development Program wrapped its third year. 12 NYC graduate student teams received funding and worked alongside Verizon Envrmnt to design cutting-edge VR, AR and AI prototypes. Quantifying Augmented Reality, a new white paper sponsored by Verizon Open Innovation and RYOT, illustrated the opportunities present in AR for the marketing and advertising sector. Produced by a team of researchers at Columbia Business School, the paper compiles interviews with over 30 experts and uncovers use cases from across B2B and B2C industries.
Sports/Media/Tech, a new event from NYC Media Lab presented by Yahoo Sports and Verizon, convened over 400 attendees.
