With the goal of improving the Audible customer experience, Audible collaborated with a computer science team from Columbia University to experiment with open-source natural language processing tools.
This summer 2017, NYC Media Lab presents the second annual Viacom VR Fellowship in collaboration with Viacom NEXT. Virtual reality is a new medium that draws from the best of many disciplines and techniques, for example: art, engineering, animation, and game design. This Fellowship is for those who treat VR like the new mish-mash medium that it is and those who are eager to challenge themselves about what works best for them when using this medium.
The hackathon gathered teams to build hybrid multimedia experiences and applications that explore the opportunity for sports content consumption, interaction and engagement. Areas for exploration included: VR, AR, predictive algorithms, machine learning, data visualization storytelling, projection mapping, livestream video, 3D modelling, game design, animation, and wearable technologies.
