The future of sports will be driven by a convergence of emerging media and communications technologies— from the mobile to the immersive— that together are creating massive new opportunity for nimble media and technology companies in a growing market.

In the decade ahead, sophisticated new video technologies, virtual and augmented reality, artificial intelligence, and the promise of ubiquitous 5G wireless connectivity are among the trends that will radically change the way that sports media is created, distributed, consumed and monetized. The consultancy PricewaterhouseCoopers estimates the sports market will grow to $78.5 billion in 2021 from an estimated $69.3 billion in 2017.

Sports/Media/Tech will explore the opportunity through a range of presentations, pitches and discussion with leaders from across industry.
